Princess Zinnia

Quite simply put, we grow colors. We make gorgeous natural dyes, inks and pigments from plants we raise on our Vermont farm. We can’t say we invented the process - plants were cultivated for millennia as the prime source of colorants for everything from textiles to cosmetics to food coloring. But we are a part of a growing community of farmers, gardeners, artists and citizen scientists keen to revive this natural, sustainable practice of coloring the things we love. From forest and farmland in Hinesburg to an artist studio and teaching space overlooking downtown Montpelier, we’re on a mission to bring the cultivation and creative potential of natural colors back and into the future.
